Figure: The growth angle of shoot and root branches is considered to be determined by the antagonistic interaction between two auxin-dependent growth components, orthogravitropism and antigravitropic offset. In lzy multiple mutants, branches of shoots and roots grow in the reverse direction. Asymmetric auxin response is also reversed in the mutant.
